Jeff & Donna Thompson are the new owners here at Academy Kennels. Donna was raised a farm girl, has a lifetime of experience with all kinds of animals. Donna used to train her own dogs for fun.  Has raised Shih Tzu’s for 38 years. Became a certified PEMF therapist 7 years ago to help animals feel better. (Pulsed Electro-Magnetic frequency). Jeff was born with a love of animals. When he met Donna 26 years ago, he fell right into the animal lifestyle with her. They owned a kennel in CA for the past 10 years. We have raised Gypsy Vanner horses for a couple years now.  Jeff is the handyman around here fixing everything on a daily basis and keeping the yard up. 

                Meet our Staff 
Manager: Evan.  Loves all the animals, great with people & animals alike. Knows the kennel work inside & out and can do it all. Knows most of the dogs that have been coming here and greets most by name. 

Kennel Manager is Ryan. Self starter, knows his job. He’s very though. He worked here before we took over for about 10 years, he came back when we started. He is great with all the animals and doubles as our handyman. He’s also great with fixing our computer & programs. 

Groomer: Jennifer does an awesome job. She had her own shop at one time in NJ. She has been grooming for over 25 years and can do any cut. She is great with the animals. 

Kennel attendants are Destiny (doubles as our backup groomer, certified), Makayla, Kaycee and Jade. They are all great with the animals, they play with them & attend to all their needs. Very attentive & all have great concern for the animals. We are lucky to have them all.
